The Pagan View

Erin Lale, acquisitions editor at Eternal Press and Damnnation Books, has reviewed Domino for Eternal Haunted Summer, a pagan-themed webzine of "songs & tales." One of the pleasures of writing is reading about what other people got out of your work. It's true that I intentionally used themes of nature (aka "Nature's God" aka "objective truth") in Domino. I enjoyed Ms. Lale's interpretation:
The good guys, Domino and his friends, stand up for nature’s ways. They embrace their own natures as animals, and in doing so, also stand up for Nature, the balance of life, and the ecosystem threatened by the invasive rat species. When a hawk takes one of Socrates’ followers, Socrates and his rat cronies plot to convert or kill all birds. When a hawk takes a member of Domino’s group, they mourn and move on.
